SAP, supported by Ekonomist Media Group is organizing the conference “Strategies for Success in the New Reality”, which will be held on June 2^nd in the theatre “Pozorište na Terazijama”. The main topic of the SAP World Tour 09 conference will be dedicated to the strategies that companies can employ in order to successfully adjust to the current economic situation and be prepared for an improved business climate and a new economic boost.

Les Hayman:

Les Hajman - Photography Les Hayman is SAP Ambassador within the office of the CEO. He is responsible for representing the interests of SAP’s board and those of SAP’s eco-system of customers and partners in government and industry think-tanks and other discussion and decision forums globally.

From February 2003 to May 2005, Les was Head of SAP Global Human Resources, responsible for all of SAP’s human resources activities worldwide. From 2002 – 2003, Les served as Chairman of SAP’s EMEA region and, prior to this, as President and CEO for SAP in the Asia-Pacific region.

Before joining SAP, he held various senior executive positions in companies such as Digital Equipment (as Regional Director) and Sun Microsystems (where he was Managing Director) in New Zealand and Australia.

Danica Popovic:

Danica Popovic - Photography

Danica Popovic is a professor of macroeconomics and macroeconomic models at the Faculty of Economics of Belgrade University. She got her doctorate on the topic “Foreign trade in balance growth models”.

Main fields of her professional interest are: macroeconomic theory and models, economic policy, theory and foreign trade policy.

She maintains academic contacts with London School of Economics and several American universities. She often cooperates with the World Bank, ITC/WTO, etc. She wrote the book “Theorems on international exchange”, a study of the World Bank on foreign trade regimes (2003), and is also a coauthor of the book “From Poverty to Prosperity” (2008). She is editor of the CLDS website, as well as her own faculty website. Since 2006 she has been writing for “Politika”.

Vladimir Popovic:

At the beginning of May 2009, Vladimir Popović was appointed General Manager of SAP West Balkans, SAP’s Headquarters for West Balkans, based in Belgrade. In this company he will be in charge of regulating operations of the enteprise on the Serbian market, as well as the markets of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania.

Prior to this, Popović was in charge of selling SAP’s solutions on the territories of Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia and Western Balkans, as well as of cooperation with strategic partners of the SAP company in the region.

Before joining this company, he worked in the international IT industry – prior to joining SAP he had worked with UC4 Software, where he dealt with sales and acquisition of new clients in Central and East Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has acquired considerable experience working for Mobilkom in Austria.

He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade.He speaks English and German.

He is married and has two children.

Manfred Joseph:

Manfred Joseph is the Managing Director of SAP Central East Europe (SAP CEE) reporting to Simon Paris, Senior Vice President EMEA Cluster EMERGING.

As Managing Director of SAP CEE, Joseph is responsible for growth and profitability of SAP's business across Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and West Balkans. Joseph has been charged to lead his regional team from the aggressive growth period in an emerging market into a step-by-step maturing market through persistent execution of SAP's strategy.

Joseph joined SAP in February 2007 with 27 years of IT experience, including senior sales management and general management roles, under his belt. Prior to joining SAP, Joseph was CEO of one of the largest SAP Healthcare partners in Austria, Systema Human Information Systems and prior to that also held senior management positions at Oracle and Cognos.

Manfred Joseph is a native Austrian and has lived and worked in 12 different countries across Europe and also in the U.S. He is currently based in the Czech Republic.
