Savings accounts for children can be opened in dinars or euros, with effective interest rate up to 7% on dinar deposits, and 4.5% on deposits in euros. Interest rate is automatically increased depending on savings account balance and it is added to the deposit on the last day in the month.

Eurobank EFG has enriched its savings offer with a new product dubbed “Fortune for Children” - a children savings account intended for parents and relatives of young depositors.

Savings accounts for children can be opened in dinars or euros, with effective interest rate up to 7% on dinar deposits, and 4.5% on deposits in euros. Interest rate is automatically increased depending on savings account balance and it is added to the deposit on the last day in the month.

This special savings account is designed for parents who want to provide safe future for their children by starting saving on their behalf and under their name in Eurobank EFG as of today. Advantages of children savings include opening of an account without costs, monthly maintenance fee and minimum initial deposit. Parents, who opt for savings in euros, can make payments on the account in cash, or by standing order.

However, if they decide to save in dinars, funds can also be paid in by grandparents, relatives and friends. Parents have funds on the child’s savings account at their disposal until the child becomes mature. On the child’s 18th birthday, one is given a sole access to funds that parents saved on one’s behalf.

- We believe that children should be taught how to save and how much savings is important for their future goals in life from a very young age. In this way, Eurobank EFG enables parents to plan and provide safe future for their children with their savings while they are growing up, and to teach children to learn about the value of money gradually, stated Goran Tomić, Head of Retail Deposit in Eurobank EFG.

All parents interested in children savings, who have questions about this offer, can contact the Savings Advisors in any of 119 Eurobank EFG branches throughout Serbia.
