Trillenium.com will have a virtual surface of 180,000 square metres. Interested companies can hire space in the supermarket for 130 euros and 3 cents per square metre.

Plans for a virtual supermarket, expected to be created in the coming months, have been presented in Zagreb.

The 3-dimensional supermarket will be an online shop in which people can move around in an environment similar to that in the most high-tech videogames. The company behind the project, Hrvoje Prpic, former owner of the biggest Croatian computer chain, HG Spot, has announced that it will initially invest one million euros in the project.

The firm will sign collaboration deals with around 80 supermarkets and many kinds of other shops. The 3D supermarket, Trillenium.com, will allow people to shop from home pushing a virtual shopping trolley, to talk with virtual shop assistants, to look at and even try products in the virtual world. According to Prpic this is the first online 3D shop in the world.

The shop will open its virtual doors on November 1 for Croatian shoppers, in 2010 most other European countries are expected to follow. At first around 30,000 clients are expected per day, with an annual turnover of 13 million euros.
