On 9 October the European Union (EU) and the United States (US) will convene a meeting of the political leaders of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

The meeting will be co-chaired by Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt representing the Presidency of the EU, and US Deputy Secretary of State Jim Steinberg.

The European Commissioner for Enlargement, Olli Rehn, will also participate.

The meeting will be an important opportunity for the political leaders of Bosnia and Herzegovina to manifest their political will to overcome the stalemate and establish a platform from which their country can deliver concrete progress on both the EU and NATO reform agenda.
