Romania: School shut down because of A/H1N1 virus

Representatives of the Public Health Department of Iasi decided on Monday to suspend classes at School no. 15 'Stefan Barsanescu' of Iasi (northeast of Bucharest), for a 7-day period, after 20 pupils and 1 adult had been infected with the A/H1N1 flu virus.

Representatives of the Public Health Department of Iasi decided on Monday to suspend classes at School no. 15 'Stefan Barsanescu' of Iasi (northeast of Bucharest), for a 7-day period, after 20 pupils and 1 adult had been infected with the A/H1N1 flu virus.

The National Center for the Prevention and Control of Contagious Diseases announced that none of them had traveled to areas affected by the new flu virus and had not left the country.

All patients are currently undergoing medical treatment.
