The Financial Police has submitted criminal charges against Trenkovski for abuse of position and competences, because the Fund paid twice for the same medicines, to suppliers and "Gradski Apteki", illegally acquiring approximately Denar 27,76 million (Euro 455,000).

Former directors of the Health Fund and "Gradski Apteki" (City Pharmacies), Gjorgji Trenkovski and Vesna Ognenovska respectively, were detained Monday on suspicion of embezzlement of Fund means paid to "Gradski Apteki" in 2007.

The Financial Police has submitted criminal charges against Trenkovski for abuse of position and competences, because the Fund paid twice for the same medicines, to suppliers and "Gradski Apteki", illegally acquiring approximately Denar 27,76 million (Euro 455,000).

On the other hand, Ognenovska is suspected of knowing about the double payment of medicines.

Later yesterday an investigative judge ordered a 15-day detention for Trenkovski and Ognenovska.
