FYR Macedonia and Kosovo will soon appoint ambassadors in Pristina and Skopje, thus opening a new stage of mutual relations, said countries' foreign ministers Antonio Milososki and Skender Hyseni respectively at Friday's joint press conference.

FYR Macedonia and Kosovo will soon appoint ambassadors in Pristina and Skopje, thus opening a new stage of mutual relations, said countries' foreign ministers Antonio Milososki and Skender Hyseni respectively at Friday's joint press conference.

"Today's meeting opens a new page in the Macedonia-Kosovo relations. I believe this will benefit not only the two countries, but also the development of regional stability and economic cooperation", stressed FM Milososki.

He stated that the embassy opening is no longer an issue of political will, but one of protocol and time, expecting the procedure to last 2-3 months.

Kosovo Minister Hyseni assessed that the first official meeting in Skopje opened the possibility for fresh bilateral cooperation, whereas the partnership would serve as positive regional model.

Both ministers said the meeting focused on further intensifying of cooperation, with special interest in the energy field, trade and police cooperation.

FM Milososki also referred to the successful completion of the Macedonia-Kosovo border demarcation.

"Macedonia is the only country from Slovenia to Cyprus that has fully demarcated its borders. Thus, the country has confirmed it is ready to solve any issue with a constructive partner on the other side", he underlined.

Kosovo FM Hyseni is scheduled to meet later today with President Gjorge Ivanov and Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, as well as Parliament Vice-Speaker Rafiz Aliti and representatives of Albanian parliamentary parties
