The average salary, earned in August and paid in September, was HRK 5,267 and covered 79.80 percent of minimum living costs, 0.58 percent less than in September.
The minimum consumer basket, calculated by the NHS trade union federation for the average four-member family, cost HRK 6,599.90 in October, down 0.06 percent from the previous month (1 EUR = HRK 7.29).
The average salary, earned in August and paid in September, was HRK 5,267 and covered 79.80 percent of minimum living costs, 0.58 percent less than in September.
The basket includes minimum expenses for food and housing, but not for education, health or leisure.
Pula, with minimum living costs of HRK 7,222.59, and Vukovar with HRK 6,992.58, topped the ranking as the most expensive towns.
The lowest minimum living costs were recorded in Varazdin (HRK 6,184.76) and Osijek (HRK 6,294.61).
