Croatian biotech company Genera signed a multimillion dollar contract with Pfizer. The US company purchased the licensed patented rights to the protein discovery and will develop a drug for patients with reduced kidney function.
Dean of the Medical School in Zagreb Davor Milicic says this is a discovery with a global significance that could have a huge impact on clinical practice and be a revolutionary step in treating patients with kidney disfunction.
