High officials of the EU gave credit in Strasbourg yesterday to Montenegro for her progress on the path of European integration, and warned that BH is facing procrastination if there is no agreement between political leaders.

European Parliament adopted yesterday a resolution on the strategy of EU enlargement.

Sweden’s foreign minister Carl Bildt expressed hope that "political leaders in BH would accept to implement reforms so the country could consider candidacy for EU membership".

According to Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn, BH in itself is a "serious challenge", partly owing to the country’s history. However, he underlined that there would be no discounts in conditions for membership.

Ahead of his trip to Montenegro and BH, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said the Alliance appreciates their progress, but reminded that the two still have a lot of work to do, which is why he questions whether it is time to invite them to MAP.
