Western Balkan countries will not be left aside when it comes to further EU enlargement, stated new EU Enlargement Commissioner, Czech diplomat Stefan Fuele.

Western Balkan countries will not be left aside when it comes to further EU enlargement, stated new EU Enlargement Commissioner, Czech diplomat Stefan Fuele.

- Ongoing membership talks must continue. But I believe that now isn't the time to guess which is the next country to join EU, said Fuele as cited by Czech media.

Western Balkan countries, including Turkey, will top the EU Commissioner's agenda.

Moreover, Fuele stressed that the majority of European politicians had been considering the enlargement process as EU's biggest success.

Czech politicians for years have pledged that EU doors must be wide open for new members and that the Union could not be complete without the countries of Western Balkans.
