Three Bulgarian cars of the Moscow-Sofia train derailed at the Kourilo station, some 12 km north of Sofia, Monday morning, said the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ). Nobody was hurt in the incident.
Three Bulgarian cars of the Moscow-Sofia train derailed at the Kourilo station, some 12 km north of Sofia, Monday morning, said the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ). Nobody was hurt in the incident.
It remains unclear what caused the train cars to go off the tracks. An investigation is underway.
The train had eight passenger cars: four Bulgarian with 30 passengers and four Russian with 19 passengers.
BDZ made arrangements for the transportation of all passengers to Sofia with another train.
Transport, IT and Communications Minister Aleksandar Tsvetkov visited the site of the accident to examine the situation, said his Ministry.
