In 2009 this country exported weapons worth a total of EUR 145 mln. This was what a report of the Inter-ministerial Commission for Export Control and Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction said.
In 2009 this country exported weapons worth a total of EUR 145 mln. This was what a report of the Inter-ministerial Commission for Export Control and Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction said.
The report was discussed by the government. Most weapons have been exported to Algeria, Afghanistan, the USA and Iraq. The import was worth almost EUR 72 mln. mainly from France, Ukraine and Serbia.
The annual data for the export of weapons from Bulgaria has been presented to the Council of the EU since 2007. This country has provided full information on the import and export to the international organizations, as negotiated.
