BSP Regional Energy Exchange launched trading in Slovenia and Serbia

Through the exchange of electricity between Slovenia and Serbia, the electricity exchange in Southeast Europe, South Pool, began operating on Wednesday.

BSP Regional Energy Exchange successfully launched electricity trading in the Slovenian and Serbian delivery area last week.

Members have entered orders for both delivery areas, so first price signals could already be established.

They completed trades in Slovenian delivery area, total volume of trading reached 180 MWh at the average price of 34,92EUR/MWh. All trades have been completed with off-peak1 product (00:00-6:00).

Through the exchange of electricity between Slovenia and Serbia, the electricity exchange in Southeast Europe, South Pool, began operating on Wednesday.

Borzen (Slovenian Energy Exchange), Eurex, an international financial derivatives exchange and Elektrostopanstvo Srbije had formed the South Pool electricity exchange in April this year, which should contribute to the liberalization of the electric energy market, price transparency and a safer electricity supply in the region.
