Modrica oil refinery on Thursday opened the production of hydro based oils and paraffin and planned annual processing should amount to 52.000 tons of base oil coming from Bosanki Brod refinery.

Production of base oils is continued after a decade of break and enables the refinery to return to EU market since there is only one refinery which produces transformation and turbine oils in Europe.

Russian company “Zarubrežnjeft“ invested more than 6 million KM in reconstruction of the plant and it was officially opened by members of "Zarubreznjeft" management and director of the company Pero Dugic.

Russian Ambassador to BiH Alexander Shuvalov spoke about the importance of this refinery, as well as other representatives of the Russian company and RS officials.
