Bulgaria’s National Reference Laboratory confirmed two more cases of flu virus A /H1N1 on 24 June.

The people infected have been in contact with a mother and a child who on returning from the USA have been diagnosed with the flu.

The patients have been isolated and are under constant medical supervision. They are being treated with antiviral drugs.

The WHO and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control have been informed.

Five cases of the new flu virus have been registered in Bulgaria so far
