The session of the UN Security Council about Kosmet, where new report of Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will be presented, will be held on Thursday in New York.

In the report, published two weeks ago, Ban invited all sides in Kosmet to show restraint and constructive approach to resolving the inter-ethnic problems in the Province.

He praised the efforts of UNMIK to create the conditions for dialog and cooperation among the communities in Kosmet, as well as between Pristina and Belgrade.

The work of UN Special Envoy Lamberto Zanier to start the practical cooperation between Belgrade and Pristina has yielded only partial results, reads the report, relating to the period from June 1 to September 15 this year.

It has been stressed that the number of returnees is small and that only 236 people have returned voluntarily in June and July, of whom 7 Albanians, 31 Serbs and 177 Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians.
