As ordered by the NATO Joint Forces Command in Naples, KFOR started a troop deployment exercise in Kosovo, which will last until November 8 and whose aim is to maintain a high level of readiness.

KFOR announced the same day that the exercise was not a response or a preparation for any existing or expected situation in Kosovo, but that its aim was to enable the NATO forces to maintain a high level of readiness and be prepared for quick deployment in response to any scenario.

The announcement says that the exercise, just like the exercises conducted in the past few years, sends a clear message that NATO remains dedicated to peace and stability in the Balkan region.
