Newly appointed Serbian Ambassador to Ukraine Dusan Lazic presented his credentials to Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko Tuesday, the Serbian Ambassy in Kiev said in a statement.

According to the statement, Yushchenko and Lazic concluded that relations and cooperation between Serbia and Ukraine are developing successfully, adding that there are mutual interests and vast possibilities for their further improvement, in a spirit of traditional friendship between the two countries.

Yushchenko informed Lazic on Ukraine's basic foreign policy directions and priorities, and the processes of its association with the EU, the statement reads.
