Kosovo-Metohija is far from functioning according to the European standards at all levels of authority, fight against crime, corruption, racketeering, ensuring normal work of agencies which should be independent and the independence of the media, the Kosovo analysts stated.

The Pristina press reported that these are only some of the accusations made against Kosovo executive authority, whereas the "Kosovo government" officials say that they are working round the clock to fulfill EU integration criteria.

The fact that the authorities in Kosovo-Metohija do not operate according to the European standards was noticed primarely in the local authorities, the parliament, government and judiciary.

The analysts say that it is necessary to establish the ministry for EU integration, to increase cooperation between the government and parliament, to draft joint documents between them and to improve institutional work.

The fulfillment of these criteria will play an important role in promoting the issues of the EU integration, in which Kosovo is many years behind compared to the region, the analysts stress, referring to the latest report on Kosovo's EU pathway.
