Koha Ditore reports that unidentified persons fired shots in the direction of Hysni Ahmeti, AAK‟s candidate for the Mayor of Mitrovica while he was heading to an election campaign gathering.

The incident happened at around 18:30, along the Pristina-Mitrovica road, in the village of Shipkovc.

The attack caused only material damage. The attack was carried out from the left side of the road, while Ahmeti was driving in the Mitrovica direction.

Police confirmed the case adding that it is being investigated by the respective police units.
