ICTY Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz has submitted his report on Serbia's cooperation with the ICTY to the UN SC and he will present it at the Council session scheduled for December 3, Spokesperson for the ICTY Office of the Prosecutor Olga Kavran has told.
She could not disclose any details of the report, saying that the chief prosecutor would present the entire report at the beginning of December.
According to the media, Brammertz did not use the phrase "full cooperation" in his report to describe Serbia's cooperation with the ICTY, which is what Holland is demanding as its condition to unblock the Interim Trade Agreement (ITA) between Serbia and the EU, but he did say he was satisfied with Serbia's current level of cooperation, saying that he believed it would ultimately result in the arrests of Mladic and Hadzic.
Holland is the only EU member blocking Serbia's further European integration by not allowing for the ITA to be unblocked and the SAA to be ratified without a positive report saying that Serbia is providing its "full cooperation".
Belgrade is satisfied with the report of Serge Brammertz which is very favourable for Serbia, but at this moment it is hard to say whether this is enough to continue the EU integration, Director at Office of the National Council for Cooperation with the ICTY Dusan Ignjatovic stated for.
"Brammertz's report shows that there is a constant good cooperation between Serbia and the ICTY," Ignjatovic pointed out, adding that the prosecutor for the first time said that "he was satisfied with Serbia's cooperation in all aspects."
According to Ignjatovic, report shows that there are no unfulfilled requests for submitting documentation, as well as that plenty of things have been done regarding witness protection, "all of which proves that Brammertz is satisfied with Serbia's cooperation, just like Serbia is satisfied with his report at this moment."
"We have no objections to the report and we consider it to be impartial and good, like some previous reports, since it shows that cooperation has improved in time," Ignjatovic said, adding that Serbia will continue to maintain this level of cooperation with the ICTY, according to the request of the prosecutor.
