Government adopts several bills

At its session yesterday the Serbian government adopted the bill on affirming the financial agreement, “Loan for Municipal and Regional Infrastructure B”, between Serbia and the European Investment Bank (EIB).

At its session the Serbian government adopted the bill on affirming the financial agreement, “Loan for Municipal and Regional Infrastructure B”, between Serbia and the European Investment Bank (EIB).

Under this agreement, Serbia will provide €125 million and the EIB €75 million to finance National Investment Plan projects costing €200 million.

The funds will be used to improve road infrastructure, rehabilitate and modernize school and college buildings, scientific research institute buildings, the construction and improvement of health sector facilities and buildings of a cultural and historical significance.

The bill on affirming the €384 million loan agreement between Serbia and the EIB for the road Corridor 10 (E-75) was adopted.

The funds will be used for the construction and modernization of the road Corridor 10 on the Grabovnica-Levosoje section of the E-75 motorway.

The government also adopted the bill on affirming the loan agreement (second programme loan for the development of the private and financial sector) between Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The $100 million will be used to improve the business environment in order to attract increased investment in the private sector, to increase capacities for dealing with the economic crisis and to encourage the development of the capital market.

The government passed the bills on affirming the economic cooperation agreement between Serbia and Turkey, on the affirmation of the economic cooperation agreement between Serbia and Montenegro, on the affirmation of the reciprocal driver’s license agreement between Serbia and Spain. The government also passed the bill on beer.

A Decree on incentives for electricity production using the renewable energy resources and combined production of electrical and thermal energy was adopted.
