Tadic stated that Serbia had recognized FYRMacedonia under its constitutional name and that the decision would not be changed.

President Boris Tadic met with his Mecedonian counterpart Djordje Ivanov to discuss improvements to the two countries' bilateral relations and the situation in the region.

A joint announcement by the two presidents says that they reiterated their countries' mutual support in the European integration process, adding that they also supported the Greece's initiative to make Westarn Balkan countries EU members by 2014.

Tadic stated that Serbia had recognized FYRMacedonia under its constitutional name and that the decision would not be changed.

The Serbian President welcomed the presence of Macedonian state and church officials at the Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Pavle's funeral.

The presidents encouraged a continuation of church dialogue in order to solve some open issues, which would significantly improve the traditionally close relations between the two nations.

Disagreement on the Kosovo issue was acknowledged at the meeting, as well as a mutual interest in the stability of the region, says the joint announcement.

The office of Macedonian President Djordje Ivanov described as "unfortunate" the statement by Foreign Minister Jeremic that Serbia supports Greece's position in the FYRMacedonia name dispute, agency MIA said.

The FYROM President cancelled in protest his attendance at a Belgrade reception, arranged by Minister Jeremic for all foreign officials who attended the funeral of Serbian Patriarch Pavle. Ivanov attended the funeral of Patriarch Pavle at the invitation of his Serbian counterpart Boris Tadic, and said he would meet with Tadic later in the day despite his refusal to attend the reception.

President Ivanov met Thursday with his Montenegrin counterpart Filip Vujanovic to discuss the two countries' integration processes.

If Serbia has recognized us under our constitutional name, than why are you referring to MACEDONIA as FYRMacedonia?? THat is degrading and disrespectful. Basic human rights allow every person the right of integrity, self-determination, and identity. And every country has the right of sovereignity and self-determination. What Greece is doing is braking the basic human rights.

Greece does not own Macedonia.Greece,Bulgaria and Serbia received each part of the Macedonian teritories including its Macedonian population in 1912-13.You did not win this teritories,it was given to you by the Big Powers of the day.Stop spreading lies to the world.Even that we have a small part of our country free from domination,we are seaking our rights same as any other people on this earth. We are succeeding because we are on the right. As Miss. Skoulariki writes "The Greek arguments are not convincing because it is a fundamental right of all people to freely choose their name.We insist that our neighbor has no right to use the name Macedonia, ignoring the F A C T that durring the 19th and 20th century there was a wider region called Macedonia."Another Greek professor Anastasia Karakasidou in her book "The study of ethnicity and identity in the Northern Greek province of Macedinia"states;Macedonia existed centuries before Greece did"We the Macedonian people exist for many centuries, and no one will take that away from us!
