Roundtable “Establishing a national council of the Albanian national minority in Serbia“

The discussion will be chaired by Livia Plaks, and the topic will be how to secure free and democratic elections of the national councils of national minorities, how to secure a high voter turnout and what kind of assistance from the Serbian government and international organisations is needed.

The international non-governmental organisation Project on Ethnic Relations, with their headquarters in the US and representative offices in central and southeastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, which works on the improvement of ethnic relations in the region, will hold a roundtable meeting "Establishing a national council of the Albanian national minority in Serbia" on November 23 at 11 am, at the Dom Kulture in Bujanovac.

The roundtable will be opened by president of the Project on Ethnic Relations Livia Plaks, first secretary for political affairs of the UK Embassy in Serbia Catherine Cottrell, president of the Bujanovac municipality Saip Kamberi and president of the Democratic Party of Albanians and president of the Presevo municipality Ragmi Mustafa.
