Kuwaiti companies are considering investment in construction, telecommunications and energy in Serbia, participants of a meeting of Serbian and Kuwaiti business delegations at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce said on Nov. 25.

Member of the Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board of Directors Talal Yasim Al-Khorafi said that Kuwaiti investors are looking to invest in Serbia.
According to a news release from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Kuwaiti companies could invest in real estate and tourism, with agriculture as another potential area of cooperation, as long-term arrangements are possible in the production of health food and cattle raising for export to Kuwait.
In January-September, Serbia exported goods worth US$539,000 to Kuwait, at the same time importing the equivalent of US$205,000.
The Kuwaiti delegation was headed by Prime Minister Nasser Mohammed Al-Sabah, who talked with his Serbian counterpart Mirko Cvetkovic and will also met with Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic.
The delegation also included Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al-Sabah, Finance Minister Mustafa Yassim Al-Simali, Trade and Industry Minister Ahmad Rashed Al-Haroun and his associates, as well as Kuwaiti Ambassador to Serbia Fawzi Abdulaziz Al-Yassim.
Serbian and Kuwaiti government officials signed agreements on economic, technical, cultural and cooperation in tourism, and harmonized conclusions on cooperation in civil aviation.
