Serbian Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic opened yesterday two sections of the Corridor 10 motorway at the 108th kilometer mark, near Novi Sad. The two 20 kilometers long sections on the motorway from Belgrade to Horgos are now open to traffic.

Mrkonjic said at the opening that the construction of the entire motorway from Beska to Horgos, including a bridge on the Danube, will be completed and ready for traffic by October 9, 2010.

The construction of the sections opened today began on July 7 this year. The construction cost RSD 1.6 billion and the funds were provided from the Serbian budget.

Fulfilling the Serbian government’s obligations concerning the construction of transport infrastructure, Serbian road construction companies Beograd and Putevi Uzice completed the construction of the two sections of Corridor 10 on schedule.
