Former National Bank of Serbia Governor Radovan Jelasic on July 29 handed over his duties to the newly elected governor, Dejan Soskic.

Nnew Governor Dejan Soskic assessed that Jelasic was a successful leader of the central bank, which grew stronger during his term, and also became more independent.

Soskic underlined that, apart from the basic goal to maintain the stability of prices, the National Bank of Serbia will also focus on the challenge of regaining trust in the domestic currency.
