The Turkish airline company Turkish Airlines continues to be the most serious candidate for the acquisition of Jat Airways according to Serbia’s Infrastructure Ministry. It was pointed out that Jat representatives continued to have close and daily contact with the Turkish company.

It was also announced that a tender would soon be issued for the selection of a consultant who would carry out the procedure of founding a new airline company and for the selection of a strategic partner.

In April Serbia’s Government decided that a new national airline company should be founded that would operate instead of Jat Airways and which would be rid of debt and attractive for a future strategic partner.
