Despotovac can count on government support in implementation of development projects

Djelic said that it is necessary to promote the advantages of this municipality, including the monasteries, caves, waterfalls and forests, and give enough reasons for tourists to visit this part of our country.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic said yesterday in Despotovac that this municipality can count on the support of the government regarding the implementation of development projects.
Djelic said at the press conference held after talks with the leadership of Despotovac and businessmen from the region that it is necessary to promote the advantages of this municipality, including the monasteries, caves, waterfalls and forests, and give enough reasons for tourists to visit this part of our country.
We will work on a local eco museum, a hotel near Resava cave and some other projects in the coming months, in a move to bring tourists and employ people, said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Speaking of EU funds, Djelic said that €15 million has been allocated from IPA programme for cross-border cooperation of Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania, adding that Despotovac could apply for these funds.
After giving statements, accompanied by Mayor Malisa Alempijevic Djelic toured Resava cave and then went to Manasija monastery.
