The Hague Tribunal had enough information about the whereabouts of Radovan Karadzic, but every time USA, Great Britain of France would block his apprehension, stated former Tribunal Spokesperson Florence Hartmann.

We had plenty of information, but sometimes the arrest would be blocked personally by Jacques Chirac or Bill Clinton, Hartmann told the Belgrade BLIC daily.

She pointed that she was talking from the official documents, adding that her database is not complete.

While explaining why did Karadzic lose the protection of the West, Hartmann said that it was finally understood in Washington that he is the obstacle for the future of the region, when at large.
