Ban wrote he is aware of the fact that Kosmet Albanian political representatives rejected the Belgrade-New York agreement, but that their decision to cooperate with EULEX is encouraging.
In the report on Kosovo-Metohija submitted by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon to SC member-states six items of the agreement reached with Belgrade have been described in detail, whereas four items proposed by Pristina are in the annex of the document, a Western diplomat that saw this document told RTS.
He said Ban wrote he is aware of the fact that Kosmet Albanian political representatives rejected the Belgrade-New York agreement, but that their decision to cooperate with EULEX is encouraging.
The diplomat said that the UN secretary general expects of EULEX to fully respect Resolution 1244, to be neutral towards the status issue and, like UNMIK, to submit regular three-month reports on work in the UN. EULEX is expected to closely cooperate with UNMIK during deployment.
