Today, the European Commission Liaison Office to Kosovo announced the new call for proposals for the EU funded Higher Education Programmes TEMPUS IV and Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window.

Kjartan Björnsson, Head of Operations in ECLO, Minister of Education Enver Hoxhaj and Tempus and Erasmus Mundus Officer in Pristina, Lindita Tahiri, presented the programmes.

“The EU and ECLO in particular are fully committed to supporting the build up of quality education in Kosovo across all levels of education, and to promoting education which is relevant to the labour market needs of Kosovo,” said Kjartan Björnsson.

"These programmes are very important in light of the challenging economic situation we are experiencing in Europe at this time.  These programmes will help to establish a competitive Higher Education sector in Kosovo which links with the business community in order to address the research and development and skills needs of the current labour market.
