It has been constantly snowing in some parts even for 50 hours. Many villages have been cut off, schools are closed and several roads are blocked, with the worst-hit area being the south of Central Serbia.
The Belgrade-Nis highway was impassable for some time.
In some places, police vehicles assisted to the Winter Service in clearing roads, while the Automobile and Motorists Association of Serbia warned citizens not to travel unless in a grave need.
