Turkish parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan pledged in Prizren that Turkey would continue to help and support the Turkish community in Kosovo, as well as Kosovo as a whole.

Turkish parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan pledged in Prizren that Turkey would continue to help and support the Turkish community in Kosovo, as well as Kosovo as a whole.

Before leaving Kosovo, Toptan visited Mamusa, a Turkish majority municipality where he received a warm welcome by his compatriots.

The Turkish speaker thanked his hosts, the president and prime minister of Kosovo, saying that "I felt at home" during the visit.

"Turkey places a huge importance on Kosovo's territorial integrity and political stability. Citizens of Turkey from Kosovo and Turks in Kosovo are a bridge that connects our two countries," Toptan said.

Toptan visited members of the Turkish battalion stationed in the Prizren Sultan Murat barracks and Sinan Pasha mosque, which is being restored.

Turkey has invested EUR1 million in renovating the mosque. Prizren is seat to Kosovo's largest Turkish community.
