During holidays and summer season about 18,000 vehicles circulate along that road daily. The annual death toll in accidents is four to five hundred people.

According to Serbia Minister for infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic there are about 250 dangerous spots on the roads in Serbia that are in the reconstruction program for the year of 2009. He believes that at least a hundred of them should be repaired until the end of the year.

Apart from the priorities such as the Corridor 10 and Belgrade-South Adriatic Highway, Serbia Government has also provided money for reconstruction of the regional and second-priority roads in Serbia.

All agree that the Ibarska Magistrala is one of the most dangerous road directions in the country. During holidays and summer season about 18,000 vehicles circulate along that road daily. The annual death toll in accidents is four to five hundred people.
