According to police statistics 526 persons aged 21-30 committed suicides in the period from 2000 to 2008.

Kosovo police spokeswoman Sabrie Kamberi said that only in the first three months of this year 20 suicides and 74 suicides attempts have been registered.

Experts however said that the number of suicides is bigger from the official one because some families did not announce the death of their close relatives as suicide.
